Adam Lambert: A Big Fat Snake?
You all know that I revert back to the “it’s because I am gay” analogy as a general joke. I mean, it’s pretty funny when you input it into EVERY conversation. However, this time, I feel I am right. I came across the following blog posting and am just appalled at the sheer devaluation of Adam Lambert’s talents. I believe this person to have such issue due to the thought that Adam Lambert is gay. You be the judge. Word for word:
“Someone gave me a great analogy of American Idol 8 that pretty much sums up how this season of Idol has turned out for me.
Last season I enjoyed American Idol 7 because the contestants were pretty much equal which made the show fun to watch, but somehow this season started to get boring about two thirds of the way and here is why. American Idol has turn into a something different when Adam Lambert was included into the show. A friend had also stopped watching the show and she explained to me why in a great analogy.
She said that when the show put in Adam Lambert, who she believes has vast amount of experience compared to the other singers, that it was like putting a Big Snake into a large glass enclosure with 12 Guinea Pigs and watching the progression for several weeks.
Every week the 12 Guinea Pigs would race around trying to figure out how to survive another week while the Big Snake would polish them off every week. One by one, one Guinea Pig would be gobbled up by the Big Snake and the sadistic viewers of the show would cheer the demise of the weekly swallowed up Guinea Pig. But not all viewers, some viewers instead picked certain Guinea Pigs feeling a fondest towards them and hoped the Big Snake would not gobble their favorite that week, but it was inevitable. But the majority of the viewers loved the Big Snake, because the Big Snake had been honed to be a great killer and could easily pick off the simple boring Guinea Pigs.
Week after week as Guinea Pigs were swallowed up by the Big Snake to the glee of some sadistic viewers, a few of the smarter Guinea Pigs managed to survive, but those that didn’t were eaten up alive. After all these weeks the Big Snake has grown really fat from eating up all the Guinea Pigs except one.
Now we are at the end of American Idol season 8 and the wiliest of Guinea Pigs has survived, but in reality the only winner at the end is going to be one big FAT Snake.
I might watch the finale of American Idol season 8, but I probably will not because I am not a sadistic person. Somehow I don’t want to watch as the Big Fat Snake gobbles up the last surviving Guinea Pig Live on TV .” LeMar Jackson-RANT
